An Idea Come To Life
Hi, I’m Christal. I’ve always thought of my writing as a library of stray scribbles in my head waiting patiently to be written. That concept is what inspired this place. You’ll find scribbles of all sorts here. My goal is to gather writing advice and give awesome prompts to my fellow Scribblers. I’m a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with an emphasis in Creative Writing and Rhetoric. Plus, I’m a Sociology Major.
Scribbles come to life because of the IV drip supply of coffee sent directly to my veins everyday. This is all made possible with your help! If you wish to help another scribble come into existence you can by going to
Warmly,

Experience
What am I up to?
Present
In my free time, I am creating content for this site, painting, reading [so slowly] A Clash of Kings and Confessions of a Shopaholic, trying to fix my car, and hanging out with my buddies.
Content Creator
2015 - Present
I currently help companies and individuals create content for websites. Most recently I’ve worked with Sculpture artist Jordan Snow, located in the Utah and Colorado area. I also, work with Modevfy.com as their in house Content writer. Presently I’ve been working to produce a few comprehensive literary reviews. You can check out more of my work under Scribbled Experiments.
Internship experience
October 2018 - February 2019
I completed an internship at Fiction Vortex, assisting in the developmental editing of novel chapters. Through my experience at Fiction Vortex I gained a strong understanding of the writing, revising, and research that goes into the creation of larger works. I can suggest appropriate content and structural changes that will help improve any drafts that you bring me to me.
March 2019 - May 2019
I picked up multiple research techniques on data collection through my experience as a research assistant to Phd. Professor Michael Blain in the Department of Sociology, co-author of Progressive Violence: Theorizing the War on Terror.
Independent Studies
Summer 2018
Throughout my last semester at BSU I completed an independent study on the effect of ecological grief on activism. In my study I did a comprehensive literature review on the psychology of grief and reactions to environmental loss in order to better understand what motivates environmental activism.
