About
Scribbling

What is scribbling you might ask? Let me fill you in…

Live Life To The Fullest

What is a scribbler? Are you brimming with curiosity, yet? (≧∇≦o) A scribbler lives in a state of constant observation, and perhaps paradoxical preoccupation, with the world around them. To the scribbler uninteresting things are a masterpiece in the making. A story that needs to be jot down. If you’re a creative observer, a learner, a dreamer then you have the heart of a scribbler like me. Welcome to my library. The bookshelf will always be a mess. However, I hope it holds some inspiration for my fellow scribblers. Enjoy!
This blog is about discovery. It’s about the journey and potential of the communicative art of writing. My experiments, observations, and thoughts reside here. I’m hopeful that someday this site can be a useful resource to fellow scribblers on the craft of writing. For now, if it is a fun bookshelf to peruse on a rainy day then it has fulfilled its purpose. What makes a good piece of writing? Advice can be found everywhere. I can name off the top of my head at least twenty different pieces of such advice. Much more, actually! All good advice. It’s one of the epic aspects of writing. Writers can communicate the hows and whys of their craft with their craft, with reading and writing. What other form of art is so versatile? That is why I am creating this blog. I’ll show writing in action, and record my progress as I go. If I can look back on my scribbles, rolling backwards and forwards through time, and see how I’ve changed in a year from now I will be filled with joy. In the past, I would make something and erase it. Throw it away, lose it. It didn’t matter to me. Now I wish I could reread those, surely, cringy lines and let them be a teacher and an inspiration. This blog is an exploration of my own writing process as I scribble down whatever advice, prompts, or ideas capture my attention and see how it all goes. And you, fellow scribblers, are welcome to observe or even explore your own writing process right along with me. After all, writing is a communicative art. Input is truly appreciated, fellow scribblers! Even if it is something as simple as a writing idea that you’d like me to try out. In fact, if you have any advice or prompts I implore you to scribble a thing in the comments and I will get to it. Warmly, ChristalScribbles
